NON-FERROUS METALS

Non-ferrous metals do not contain iron which gives them a higher resistance to rust and corrosion. Additionally, Non-ferrous metals are far more malleable and are considerably lighter when compared to ferrous metals.

COPPER SCRAP

On its own, Copper is very pliable and can be easily shaped and pounded without damage. As such, Copper can be used in array of application but its most common are plumbing and, due to its high-conductivity, electrical wiring. More recently, copper is fast becoming a replacement for gold within computer electronics.

International Trade - Buy and Sell Stainless Steel Scrap - Kiruba Corp

STAINLESS STEEL SCRAP

Stainless Steel is any steel alloy that contains the element chromium, to be specific at least 10.5% Chromium. Other metals can be alloyed with stainless steel, the second most common being Nickel.

Due to its long life cycle, strength, resistances to corrosion and low maintenance, Stainless Steel is the ideal material for a wide range of applications.

The 3xx series stainless is non magnetic and most commonly recycled at scrap yards. 304 stainless steel contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel (commonly called 18-8 in the industry) The 316 grade stainless contains 16% chromium, 10% nickel and 2% molybdenum. The 400 series doesn’t normally contain nickel and is therefore magnetic. Chromium is what offers corrosion resistance / prevents oxidation / rust. The higher the Chromium and Nickel the better the resistance to corrosion.

**Kiruba Corp can source a wide range of scrap grades like SS 304, 316, 304 L , 316 L, 310, 309, 200 series, Duplex 2205.  | Contact Us
